The club was founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks and reformed in 1900 as West Ham United. West Ham is currently based at the Boleyn Ground, commonly known as Upton Park, in Newham. The capacity of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is 60.000 seats.
